Who is Sanchita Tiwari?
A topper in her class with A+ in all subjects in 9th standard and also a national level archer and a passionate dancer.
Her aspirations: To win a gold medal in archery at the Olympics!
Young Sanchita has bagged numerous accolades in the field of her passions but what piqued everyone’s curiosity is her easy-going ways of balancing her passion and studies. Her motto, ‘Study thoroughly, study every day.’
Snippet of her secret ladder to success:
Her strong focus and determination are the key ingredients that have been helping Sanchita strike and balance between her study curriculum and archery since 8th standard. “My training schedule doesn’t allow me to visit my school very often, as I spend most of my days in the Sports Authority of India, Sonepat. Thus, my parents have decided to come up with a proper timetable for me after consulting my principal. This timetable meets all my requirements, as it allots enough time for my studies and other activities.”
She divides and equally devotes her time for studies and sports from 4 A.M every morning. Her daily routine looks something like this:
4.00 A.M: Wakes up at dawn and practice yoga for a healthy mind and body.
6.00 A.M: Practice archery along with other national level players where her coach directs her to perfection.
9.00 A.M: Some gym time and physical activities to keep up her spirit and help her to concentrate on studies.
11.00 A.M: Study time, where she follows the timetable set by her parents and studies with the help of BYJU’S App.
2.00 P.M: Lunch time, when she recalls what she had studied and prepares for the next session.
4.00 P.M: Practice maths problems for an hour and then studies subject like science and social studies which require extra efforts.
8.00 P.M: Second session of archery practice, followed by a quick dinner before going to bed.
Given her daily packed schedule, she adheres to her study time very sincerely. “I believe, time management is very important, as it helps me to set my routine clear and follow it unfailingly. No matter how tough the competitions are or how tiring the practice sessions are, I make sure to make-up for the missed lesson with extra study time. Every weekend, I brush up on my subjects and get my doubts cleared in case I have any. While my school teachers help me stays updated with the current discussions and topics, my mentors from BYJU’S guide me with my studies and subject related doubts.”
Tips & Tricks to score A+ in studies
As Sanchita says, “we can excel in any exam if we put our 100% effort. In order to do so, we must study every day to keep ourselves updated. Concentration is one of the key factors of this path, failing which; we tend to forget things very quickly. According to me, the best way to concentrate is to ‘write what we read.’ I have grown the habit of making notes by myself while studying. This not only helps me with speed during exams but also works as a catalyst in the process of memorization.”
Unable to attend classes every day, BYJU’S app works as her virtual class, where she makes ample use of the video lectures and their study plans. “I love the way maths concepts are explained with simple examples and innovative visual effects. I could get a good score in my 9th exam due to all those extra exercises that I practiced with the app. Since I am going to write my 10th boards exam next year, my mentor takes extra care of me by calling me frequently to help me with my doubts and queries thus helping me gain confidence over my weak subjects.”
About the Topper:
Sanchita Tiwari is a young national level archer from Ghaziabad and a passionate Kathak dancer who believes in setting short targets and achieving them in order to hear her goal. She is satisfied with the fact that her life is turning the folds where she is learning something new at every phrase. “Since I am writing my board exams in the coming year, I have increased my number of study hours. After buying a course from the app, my difficult time with maths got over. With lots of exercises sheets and simplified explanations, maths is my favourite subject now.” (she smile broadly)
With a satisfactory smile, Sanchita’s mother adds, “she is very serious about the video lessons. Sometimes you can see her make various hand gestures in the air while learning science topics. From this, I could make out that she is able to relate to the lectures and visualize in a similar manner. I am happy that we could introduce her to the app at the right time. Now I don’t have to worry much about the 10th and 12th boards exams.”
Author: Books are Tanaya Goswami’s first love and cheesecakes come a close second. Talking about movies, music, calligraphy, politics, and Elon Musk will get you listed under the friends’ section of her diary. Ever since moving on from her job as an English lecturer, she spends her time at BYJU’S crafting stories filled with emotion and sprinkled with sarcasm. Outside of work, she’s either learning something new (French, most recently!) or is curled up with a book and a cup of coffee. She firmly believes that discovering what you don’t know is the key to knowledge and is constantly working towards improving herself.
