Welcome back to BYJU’S Sunday Challenge! In this edition, we focus on the people and characters who are always outside the spotlight but are as important as the heroes. This edition is all about sidekicks.
You can take a shot at the questions and field your guesses in the comments section below. Answers will be revealed on subsequent Sundays in the comment section.
Ready? Here are your questions:
1. Tycho Brahe was a famous 16th Danish astronomer credited with having the most accurate astronomical observations before the invention of the telescope. However, his sidekick and apprentice (pictured below) went on to be an even more famous astronomer and is referred to as the father of modern astronomy. Who is this stellar sidekick from the world of science?
Complete the analogy and identify the sidekick.
Batman : Robin : : Sherlock Holmes : ____________?
This Wire Fox Terrier’s name in the original French version of the comics was Milou. His English name was chosen as it references his colour and the five-letter name fits easily in speech bubbles. Identify this trusty canine sidekick.
We all know that Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon, the result of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. The second was Buzz Aldrin. But there was a third astronaut (pictured below in the centre) who played the role of the faithful sidekick and had to stay inside the lunar module. In spite of being part of the team of astronauts to first land on the moon, he never stepped on the moon. Who is he?
Leave your guesses in the comments section below. And remember, answers will be revealed next Sunday in the comments section too, along with a brand new edition of BYJU’S Sunday Challenge.
