NTA Releases NEET 2022 Application Form

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2022 and has invited applications for the exam. As per the official notification, the test is set to commence on 17 July 2022, Sunday.

The exam will have 200 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The 50 questions in each subject will be divided into two sections – A and B. The duration of the test will be 200 minutes, i.e. 03 hours 20 minutes. And the timings of the test will be 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM. 

Candidates can start filling and submitting their NEET application forms online from 06 April 2022. 

The last date to submit your details is  06 May 2022  – up to 11:50 PM. 

The last date to pay the application fee is 07 May 2022 – up to 11:50 PM

NEET registrations have two major steps –

  1. Register yourself on the official NTA website – neet.nta.nic.in
  2. Fill in your application form for NEET 2022 with your own or your parent/guardian’s email address and mobile number

Only one application per candidate is allowed. 

Application fees payable by candidates:

Category Fee In India
General  ₹1600
General-EWS/ OBC-NCL ₹1500
SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender ₹900

The fee outside India will be ₹8500 for all candidates

NEET 2022 UG will be conducted in pen and paper mode across the country in 13 languages. These are English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

Additionally, this year the National Medical Commission (NMC) has removed the upper age limit for NEET 2022. Accordingly, all candidates who have completed or would complete the age of 17 years by December 31, 2022, would be eligible to appear for the examination.

Furthermore, there is no cap on the number of attempts for NEET. 

This year over 16 lakh students are expected to write NEET. Experts say that to crack this exam, students should also focus on Physics and Chemistry more than Biology in order to get a high rank. Most students score high in the Biology section, and it is vital to crack the remaining two sections too.
