Ruling for the past 55 years, he is now the world’s longest-serving monarch. Despite being occupied by other countries, the monarchy has prevailed in Brunei.

Brunei - Sultan Hassanal Boliah (Absolute Monarchy)

Ruling since 1986, he ascended the throne at the age of 18, becoming the world’s youngest-ever monarch at that time. He is often spotted addressing his subjects in traditional attire.
