As the name suggests, Death Valley, located between Nevada and California, is a deadly place to be! Extreme temperatures prevail in this valley, which has witnessed up to a staggering 56.7 degrees Celsius–the highest temperature ever recorded on our planet.

How could a remote island with pristine waters and stunning beaches be dangerous? Because it also houses a multitude of poisonous spiders and extremely aggressive dingo dogs. Not to mention its jellyfish and shark-infested waters!

Located in the heart of Siberia is the Russian village of Oymyakon. The danger factor in this isolated place is the chilling temperature that prevails here, with the average being −50 degrees Celsius–cold enough to even freeze eyelashes and saliva into painful little needles!

Situated in Tanzania’s Gregory Rift, Lake Natron has deadly waters that can boil up to 60 degrees Celsius! Also, with a pH between 9 and 10.5, the lake is so salty that it can calcify dead bodies, burn the skin of humans and animals and even strip the ink off printed materials.
