Children's hearing is way better than adults. They pick sounds of high frequencies. This is because their ears are not yet exposed to pollution or loud noise that causes wear and tear.

The reluctance to eat more is not to cause a tantrum but due to their small stomach. Their stomach is literally the size of their clenched fist. Hence, giving your child small meals at intervals is beneficial.
