Sunak's maternal grandfather, Raghuvir Sain Berry, hails from Ludhiana. Raghuvir lived near Alamgir, Ludhiana before he moved to East Africa.

Rishi Sunak's wife Akshata Murthy is the daughter of billionaire Narayana Murthy, founder and ex-chairman of Infosys. The couple recently earned a dividend of Rs 121.6 crore from the company.
