This Mother’s Day, Thank Your Mom for being a Rockstar

Celebrate this super special day with these cool Do It Yourself (DIY) gifts.Turn this day around for the wonder woman in your life by making it an awesomely memorable.

If your mother loves colours, spark her day with a dash of colours with this handmade graffiti.

Materials you would need:

  • Two sheets of plain white paper
  • Paints
  • Scissors
  • Sketch pens
  • Glue

Let’s get started!

  • Splash some of your mother’s favourite colours on the paper to make a vibrant mix of colours. Ensure the whole sheet is covered in different colours. Keep it aside to dry.
  • Take the other sheet and write your message. Some examples are “I love you mom”,  “You rock!”
  • Outline the message with a black sketch pen and then cut out the message from the sheet.
  • Paste it on the dried coloured sheet.

(Tip: You can use the two-sided tape to paste it to give it a 3D look)

If your mother has a green thumb and loves plants, then this thoughtful gift will touch her heart  like none other.

Materials you would need:

  • Unused or broken cup or a mug
  • Little earth or soil from a potted plant
  • Water
  • Some fenugreek (methi) seeds or beans (rajma)
  • Ribbon
  • A small of piece of paper

Let’s get started!

  • Take the cup or mug and put some soil in it.
  • Put the seeds and lightly cover it with soil.
  • Water it. Before giving, tie the ribbon around it.
  • Write a special message on the paper and gift this little potted treasure.
