DIY Corner: Pencil Stand Out Of Waste
Fun times are here! Do you have an empty plastic bottle or a tin can lying waste? Well, here’s your moment to turn it into a fun pencil holder for your child. It is also a great way to help them learn about recycling and reusing old or waste materials around them.
To get started with this simple craft for kids,
You need:
- Waste plastic bottle or tin can
- Glue
- Scissors
- Wool (optional)
- Coloured papers
- Markers
- Paint (any colour or colours)
Method:
- Discuss with your child what they would like to make with the empty can/bottle
- Use the paper or wool to cover the bottle or can
- Cut out different shapes, or eyes, ears and nose etc. to mimic your child’s favourite animal
- Paste it on the covered can or bottle
- Use it to store pencils, colours and more in an organised manner.
Pro-tip: You can also use shells or tiny stones for decoration.
