Dear young learners,

I am your favourite DIY expert Todd. I hope you enjoyed making the fun activities that I had introduced earlier. In this episode, I have a really interesting surprise in store for you!

Excited to know what it is? IT’S A CONTEST!! The winners will get exciting prizes!

It’s called Young Creators Collective!

In this contest, instead of me, you will be the one coming up with DIY ideas and also making them! You must let your imagination run wild, get your hands dirty and excite us with the most innovative crafts!

If you are looking for inspiration, you can go here for ideas!

Rules for the contest

For the child

  • The child needs to use their imagination to think of DIY ideas with the material given in the list below.
  • They can refer to other sources for ideas, but original ideas get extra points!
  • The child must come up with one or two crafts of their choice from a list of materials that are mentioned below.
  • They don’t have to use ALL the items in the list, but they have to use at least FIVE of them. There is no upper limit to the number of items that you can utilise.
  • They can use additional TWO items that are NOT in the list to make the craft more interesting.
  • The child needs to make the DIY crafts by themselves. Parents must NOT make the crafts on their behalf.
  • However, they can seek help if they are required to handle knives, scissors or anything that could injure them.

For the parents

  • You can help your child choose age-appropriate ideas. However, you must NOT make the final choice. It must be your child’s.
