All countries look forward to celebrating their independence day every year with great fervour. For our country, it’s no different. Ever since we got our freedom on August 15, 1947, India has come a long way to becoming an inspiring nation, not just for its citizens but also for the world.

INDEPENDENCE – As the word comes into my subconsiouness it means free from the influence of others. But becoming free is not all about for me ! For me – being free from others influence, others clutches not being anyone’s labour is what is known as Freedom.

Though our beloved motherland-India had become independent 75 years ago itself. I feel that the people of the country are still caged especially the youth, for they are having unimaginable stress due to various reasons some of which include- as a result the competition among the students for a secure future, most of the students are forced to take stress. Talking about the working citizens of the country, they are forced to work several hours without having enough time to spend some quality time with their family, which is also stress taking. At the end I feel that though the country is physically free and is independent, it has not yet gained freedom mentally throughout.

Independence according to me is full freedom. When we are doing something from our heart and we are 110% sure about it, no one has the right to stop us from doing that. Whether the thing we are doing is right or wrong, that’s a question which will get resolved once we get the result of that thing. Who knows the thing which you are doing can one day change the world! We are the next future leaders. For me, the true independence come to our country when:
1-The government schools are modernised.
2-The poor are able to go for treatment in the same hospital where rich people go.
3-Our farmers get as much respect as any minister of high post.
4-There is unity among all Indians.
5-When children respect to every parents.
And obviously freedom does not mean only for humans, it also means for animals and plants. so when all animals are happy and more and more plants are grown then the true independence would come.

Independence means a complete freedom from expectation of any person or situation in my life. I lived a lot of my life expecting various things from others, often feeling ‘wronged’, despite the fact I was a horrible communicator and couldn’t express my needs! I guess I expected people to read my mind. I have learned to Love All People, Freely with no expectations. If you rely on any person, title, amount of money or another person’s opinion or approval of you for your own security and happiness, it is a false comfort! People & Things add amazing value to life! However, if you rely on anything, any person outside of your self, true independence and happiness will elude you. It’s only found inside each of us! Others will no doubt spark the fire that allow you to discover this, but they Are Not the Source! Once you find it, you will be able to enjoy the best life has to offer!
