March Realization for BYJUites – It’s Never Too Late to Become a Poet!

As Robert Frost rightly said, poetry is all about expressing emotions, discovering feelings and unleashing these feelings with powerful and meaningful words.
In order to create a culture of learning at the workplace, we decided to celebrate World Poetry Day and in the process we came across several poets amongst our fellow BYJUites. Preceding this, we organized something super interesting – A Poetry Writing Workshop.
Mahek Jangda, a poet and novelist, joined us to lead the workshop and teach different forms of poetry. Her poetry has been featured on platforms such as Radio Mirchi, UnErase, Spoken Fest, Hyderabad Literary Festival, Under25 and NCPA among others. Her debut novel ‘Sometimes Ivory, Sometimes Sand’, published by Hachette India, was shortlisted for the VoW Literature Festival and was longlisted for the Times of India JK Paper AutHer Awards. BYJUites were super excited to have a session with Mahek and learn more about the world of poetry.
Poetry writing workshop
A surprise poetry contest was also announced towards the end of the workshop and we received several amazing poems from BYJUites. While some wrote about their families, some took the nostalgic route and penned down their childhood memories.
