Tanishka Kabra was one of the four students representing India in the 54th International Chemistry Olympiad. Her determination, hard work, and love for chemical experiments and theories helped her bring home a silver medal!
“I dedicated 2 hours every day to studying and made sure to practise extra questions regularly,” she says about her study routine.
The International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) examination is organised by the Association of Teachers in Biological Sciences in association with the Indian Association of Physics Teachers and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE).
Each year, there are over 30,000 participants from classes 12 and below. This year, the International Chemistry Olympiad was organised by China, and the exam was held in online mode from July 10 to 18, 2022.
The Olympiad aims to bring the most gifted students together in a friendly competition. It encourages a lifelong journey of intellectual challenges and innovation.
While Tanishka prepared for the Olympiad, she found a wonderful support system in her parents, brother, and teachers at Aakash BYJU’S.
“I spent 1.5 hours daily on the BYJU’S app. Thanks to their great way of teaching, I could understand concepts in detail. The explanations with practical examples also helped me learn better,” says Tanishka about learning chemistry.
“I studied on the app for six months leading up to the Olympiad. Along with the teachers at BYJU’S, my father and brother helped me learn and resolve all my doubts,” she adds.
Tanishka continues to learn her favourite subjects on Aakash BYJU’S and is working hard to achieve her goals. She dreams of becoming a successful fashion designer in the future.
Aakash BYJU’S wishes Tanishka all the best in her endeavours!
