Growing up, Tanishka watched her older sister persevere for competitive exams. Since then, she has also created lofty goals for herself and strived to achieve them. Today, this Aakash BYJU’S student has secured AIR 16 in JEE (Advanced 2022) following her sister’s steps. But, what’s more commendable is that she secured AIR 1 (Female) making her a topper in the category. Now, Tanishka inspires young students like her to reach for the stars.
We at Aakash BYJU’S celebrate Tanishka’s sheer determination and hard work in making her dreams come true. We are extremely proud of her achievements.
At a young age, Tanishka was encouraged to take up science subjects. She was drawn to competitive exams because she believed that they would help her become more dedicated and hardworking in her studies. The need for ambition and the drive to achieve something extraordinary has motivated Tanishka to become the excellent student that she is today.
Talking about her strategy and approach, Tanishka tells us that she relied on the guidance of her teachers. She would listen to their advice on what would work for her and what would not in the preparation process. This enabled her to assess herself well before exams and give a winning performance.
Another aspect that helped her prepare is the fact that she had guidance from her sister, in terms of what to expect while studying for competitive exams. And, what the learning journey is like.
Tanishka adds that she benefitted greatly from the foundation courses at Aakash BYJU’S. She joined the programme in Class IX to gain conceptual knowledge early on and build a strong foundation in various science subjects.
Not only that, but she also wrote ANTHE in class VIII to understand her strengths and key areas of improvement. Tanishka says these exams helped her compete with students across the country. Similarly, she was an active participant in many olympiads because the tests and competitions helped her stay on top of the game and gave her the necessary practice to ace her upcoming national-level exams.
When it comes to giving preparation tips to future aspirants, Tanishka believes that each student is different and has a unique way of studying. However, it’s important to view preparation on a short-term and long-term basis. For instance, short-term is merely focusing on a test in the next two weeks.
While this keeps students motivated, it also helps them focus on the big picture and know the big goal two years from now. That said, each student is unique and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to preparation. Therefore, do what works for you best. Take as many tests you can and participate in olympiads, as they help you benchmark yourselves, she says.
While studying hard is important, so is relaxing. Music and spending time with her family or friends help Tanishka unwind. She is ever grateful for all the support she has received from her parents and grandparents in her preparation journey. On her future plans, she is curious and excited to explore what college has to offer. Tanishka looks forward to how she will grow as a person and experience the next leg of her learning journey.
Sara started her professional journey in a newsroom and quickly realised that words and stories are her happy place. You may have noticed that she adores her alliteration. She’s also an ailurophile who needs her fix of cute kitty reels to unwind. A warm cup of coffee, chocolates with hazelnut, and a Netflix binge on a cosy chair are all she needs in life. Trees and beaches make her very happy too.
