Become A Detective For A Day With The Invisible Ink DIY!
Children explore the world through their curiosity and imagination. When they are young, they are ever ready to expand their knowledge by trying out new things and asking endless questions! Encouraging this curiosity is a great way to get them to learn. Curiosity at a young age also develops creativity and the ability to innovate as children grow older. Simple DIYs that pique a child’s curiosity also add fun to playtime! Here is a fool-proof activity that does just that- invisible ink!
Here’s what you will need:
1. Lemon
2. Water
3. Thin brush or earbuds
4. White paper
5. Bright light source
Method:
1. Take the juice of half a lemon and mix it with 2 teaspoons of water.
2. Dip your brush or earbud in the lemon juice and write a secret message on a sheet of white paper.
3. Let the lemon juice dry.
4. Now hold the paper against a bright light bulb. The heat of the light will react with the lemon juice to reveal the secret message!
You can use this DIY as part of a larger activity like a treasure hunt to make your child feel like a detective for a day. But even just by itself, the reveal of the secret message is sure to interest your child.
