Super Summer Memory Writing Contest

Summer holidays are a brilliant combination of rest, relaxation and new experiences. Children look forward to this every year because this is the time when they can make fond memories that can last a lifetime.

This is why we are excited to announce a writing contest that gives your child a chance to share with us their fondest summer holiday memory.

(Click to read the section)

Rules of the contest:

  • Children must write on their own without any external help.
  • Children may draw images or spell words using sounds if they struggle with spellings.
  • Parents should refrain from editing the story in any form – punctuation, spellings, grammar, etc.
  • Parents are expected to submit the photocopy or a scanned copy of what the child has written on or before June 15, 2022

Criteria for the contest:

  • Entry criteria:
    • Can the reader understand the main theme of the memory?
    • Can the reader identify the beginning, middle and end of the memory?
    • Can the reader tell that the emotion is this memory?
  • All entries, which match these criteria, are eligible for the lucky draw. Winners will be announced for each grade (1, 2, and 3) separately.
  • The last date to send your entries on is June 15, 2022.

Sample framework:

Beginning: Start with providing basic details about your memory, such as when and where it happened, and the people involved in it.

Middle: Then you can continue writing about what exactly you do in the memory and the roles played by others. Also, mention why and how the memory happened.

End: Lastly, tell us why the memory is so special and how you feel when you think about the memory at present.

Note: You are free to use your imagination to follow your own framework as well!

Do submit your entries on or before June 15, 2022

Looking forward to reading more about your summer holiday! All the best!
