In the past, we have discussed simple yet effective ways of managing your child’s routine in the pandemic. We have also spoken about how you can get your child to adhere to a bedtime routine. Today, we will create a daily schedule for your child that caters to the child’s unique requirements. 

Important things to remember before you start

  • Parents should have their schedules (office and home) in place so that they are aware of the times when they may not be available for their child. It will ensure that both your schedules are aligned. 
  • It is important that your child is involved in this process. It will make them feel like they are in charge and in turn will increase the chances of the schedule being successful. 
  • Do not create a tight schedule filled with a lot of activities and chores as it may overwhelm your child. 
  • Reward children for following the schedule. Avoid relying on material rewards; a simple pat on the back or a high-five can do the trick too.
