Dear Diary,
Can you believe that King Septus saw a Blue Whale for the first time today? He was surprised. It was then that Jax and I explained to him about the Blue Whale. Here are some cool facts about Blue Whale for you too:
- Blue whales are the largest animals ever known to have lived on Earth.
- Their tongues alone can weigh as much as an elephant.
- They sleep while swimming. Isn’t that awesome?
- And, they use only half of their brain while sleeping.
- A sieve-like structure in their upper jaw helps them filter food from the seawater.
- Also, they have small brains as compared to their huge bodies.
- And, even though we cannot hear them underwater, blue whales have one of the loudest voices on Earth.
- These blue-grey giants have a long, streamlined body, a wide head, huge flippers, a powerful tail and a small dorsal fin.
- Blue whales are among Earth’s longest-living animals.
Wish we could see the Blue Whale again! What a wonderful time we had on King Septus’ submarine.
