Rainbow Drawing: A Creative Journey for Children
Spotting a rainbow can make anyone’s day. They are colourful and bring us joy wherever we see them. And, as the popular saying goes, rainbows need both sunshine and rain to form. Having said that, it is a lot of fun to draw and paint a rainbow. That is why today we will practise our rainbow drawing skills.

3 Different types of rainbow drawings for children
Regular Rainbow
Let’s start our rainbow drawing journey with a standard rainbow that we see on rare days. It has all the different colours, like red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, frequently remembered as VIBGYOR. The key thing to remember here is the order of the colours.
Simple Rainbow
If you are in a hurry and want to draw a quick rainbow, have a look at this super simple rainbow and try it out. It has only three colours, and it looks super cute. It can be made in just four steps. Isn’t it wonderful?
Creative Rainbow
On days you want to challenge yourself, try drawing this creative rainbow. Don’t be too hard on yourself, and keep in mind that ‘practise makes perfect’. Soon there will be a day when this creative rainbow will seem super easy to draw.
Once you have mastered these three ways of drawing a rainbow, you will be able to add a bit of magic to any of your landscape drawings or even use them as a background for greeting cards to make them extra special.
