It’s a Sunday morning, and you curl up on the couch in front of the TV. You have a comfy pillow and popcorn next to you, and the day just couldn’t get any better. You turn on your TV…but wait…something is wrong. Your TV has lost all its colour! The images are only in black and white! You frantically try to change the channel, but nothing is changing on the screen. Oh no! You have only one channel!
This seems like something out of a classic horror movie, right? But that’s how televisions were for the longest time!
TVs have come a long way from the primitive, black and white TVs to the advanced, digital colour TVs we use today. With November 21 being World Television Day, for this month’s The Evolution of Everything, let’s take a look inside the box in our living rooms and track its evolution.
Today TVs have more features than ever before. Some of these features are what we see in smartphones and laptops like internet connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, and touchscreens to name a few.
TVs have been on a long journey since their inception. Can you spot the differences between the TV in your house and the first mechanical models of the 1920s? What are the differences you can find?

November 21, 2019
Today’s T.Vs are much more advance than the ones in 1920s….. As we read in the above lines, the Mechanical
T.Vs had a very low quality and had a display screen as much as the size of tea cup!! And the major difference is that the
Mecanical T.Vs did not have color and had only 1 channel but the modern T.Vs(thankfully) do not have any of this quality
Thank You!!!
