That’s Jiny Thattil, VP of Engineering at BYJU’S! An industry veteran with over 20 years of experience across domains such as healthcare, eCommerce, online banking, personal finance, and edtech, Jiny joined BYJU’S in September 2020. He has since taken over several crucial responsibilities, working alongside our Technology and Product teams to build and scale BYJU’S products. “My onboarding process at BYJU’S was done completely remotely,” quips Jiny, “and given the circumstances, I must say, it was quite a challenge to establish a connection with the team. Especially in a fast-paced environment like BYJU’S. However, the team was very open, approachable and supportive throughout the process, which now makes me feel that I have been here for more than a year.”
Jiny’s experience, in fact, reflects a larger sentiment. As BYJU’S tech team expands to bring together more and more bright minds in the industry, there has also been a need to explore newer ways of learning, teaching, and even utilizing technology. And at the same time, discover new approaches to work and collaboration as well.
As our techie explains, “We have a great opportunity before us to solve it from India for the world. We truly have everything it takes to make that big impact by experimenting, failing, and building again till it works. That’s what makes up our culture as well – to learn, unlearn and relearn.”
