Dear BYJUite,
If there’s one thing this year has taught us, it’s the beauty of unlearning and relearning.
There’s a certain strength in being able to change, adapt to new ways, grow out of the old shoes of ‘comfort’, and embrace new challenges. It’s, of course, unsettling at first. But like most transitions, it’s representative of growth, aspirations, ambitions, and learning.
This year, in more ways than one, has been an exercise in agility and adaptability for us. Even as BYJU’S – a brand at the forefront of revolutionising education – continued to improve and enhance the learning experience for students, as an organisation we absorbed many new lessons.
As our teams went remote and collaboration took the digital route, we realised what it means to be truly sustainable. Success really cannot be measured in short-term achievements, it is what you gain from the everyday investments made towards your physical and emotional wellbeing. This year, taught us the significance of mindfulness, of striking a balance between work and life and prioritising self-care.
It’s no longer ‘business as usual’, and how can it be? We are more productive than ever. Our tech-powered learning programmes have gone from being a useful tool for children to an essential part of their education. We have even transcended geographical barriers this year by taking BYJU’S to students learning in various vernacular languages.
It’s a milestone that I take great pride in, and that’s aligned to our larger mission: to democratise education and provide everyone with access to quality learning. A vision that requires us to have a broad approach and think of the community at large. Particularly, the underprivileged children of our community whose education has come to a standstill amid the pandemic.
Ensuring that they have access to quality education is our collective responsibility, and BYJU’S is proud to shoulder it through our ‘Give Initiative’.
Making things like these happen wouldn’t have been possible without the support of passionate individuals like you. Even in extraordinary times like this, your commitment to achieving – not just satisfactory – but outstanding outcomes has been my personal source of inspiration. For this, I am thankful and I urge you to keep fuelling our mission with your exceptional focus.
As 2020 draws to a close and we approach a brand new year, I wish that every member of the BYJU’S family be blessed with good health and happiness. Together, we shall scale new heights and accomplish a great many things.
Thank you once again for being a part of the BYJU’S family. And I wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year.
Warm wishes,
Byju Raveendran
