Kavya Reddy joined BYJU’S back in 2015 as an intern. Now a Senior Manager in our Student Experience Team, she tells us that consistency is key. In this week’s edition of BYJU’S Super 5 — a series where we talk to BYJUites who have been with us for five years or more — we present Kavya!
She shares her fondest office memory, favourite lockdown companion and what she wants to change in this world.
How will you explain your job at a dinner party?
My job is to ensure timely support and guidance to the users. The Student Experience Team, as a whole, works to make sure that everyone using the BYJU’S app is happy and satisfied.
What is your fondest memory at BYJU’S?
It’s our team dinners – where we get to hang out with our colleagues. It’s one of those rare opportunities where you meet your colleagues and get to know who they are outside the formal set-up and have interesting conversations.
If you were given a chance to change something about the world, what would it be?
To change the misconception people have that one cannot strike the right balance between work and personal life. I was blessed with a baby boy in January this year, and a lot of people asked me how I would manage my work and a baby. I want them to understand that with the right support and guidance, it is possible.
Who has been your favourite lockdown companion?
I never got a chance to stay with my family after my 10th grade. This lockdown has given me the option to spend time with them. And yes, my husband and baby have been my constant companions. And at work, my colleague and friend Neha Kambli has been my support system.
How do you stay at the top of your game?
Consistency is key. You need to be consistent in whatever job you’re doing. If you do that, everything will fall into place. That’s something I’ve been practicing all these years.
