BYJU’S Xcel Detective Days Challenge – Win a Microscope!

Ever wondered what it’s like to get inside the head of a master detective? This is your chance to find out!

In the latest BYJU’S Xcel session, discover how master detectives work by solving a mysterious case of theft in real time during the live, interactive session. Get to the bottom of this crime with help from our host and expert as they collect and study physical pieces of evidence, hypothesise possible scenarios, zero down on one suspect, and present them to the jury! During the session, you will: Understand how ordinary physical evidence can be the most important clue, learn how human attributes such as DNA help in narrowing down the suspect list, and see how computing helps in identifying culprits.

As always, we also have an exciting contest with awesome prizes to put you in the right frame of mind as you put on your detective hats and get thinking! 

Here’s how you can participate in the Xcel Detective Days Challenge:

• Register for BYJU’S Xcel Detective Science: Catching Thieves. Only students who attend the masterclass session will be eligible to receive the prizes.
• Imagine you are a world-famous detective, highly trained in the forensic sciences. You always travel with your trusty Detective Kit, which always has three tools that you never leave home without. Tell us, what three things are always present in your Detective Kit? For each item, explain why you choose to have that particular tool and how it will be of use in your investigations

  Here’s an example of what your entry could look like (Please do not use the same when you send in your entry):
  1. Magnifying glass: To see what is generally invisible to the naked eye and as a tribute to Sherlock Holmes!

  2. Measuring tape: To measure foot sizes and stride length left by shoe imprints, and calculate projectile trajectories.

  3. Soot and brush: To collect fingerprints from crime scenes.

• Mention which class you belong to in the email and your phone number so we can reach out to you to deliver your prize.
• The best entry will be awarded a microscope. Runners-up win an edition of Scotland Yard—the board game.
