How to Prepare for the Upcoming Exam Season
Exams are a part of school life, and exam season is around the corner! Though you may love learning different things, you may not be very thrilled about exams as such. That is why, today, we will cover how to prepare for exams.
Let’s go!
Simple tips for children to prepare for exams
Eat well: You must eat a nutritious diet during exams, just like you do otherwise. You need to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. This is to say that you have to take care of your health. All of this will help you do well in your exams.
Get some sleep: Get a good eight to nine hours of sleep before the exam by following your usual bedtime schedule. It will make sure that you are well rested during the exam and can help you do better than you would otherwise do without sleep.
Exercise: You need not stop going out to play with your friends during the exams. Go out, play with your friends and do some exercise. It will make you feel better, and it may lead to you doing better in exams.
Make a list: List out everything you need to study for an exam. Then, divide this list into two buckets–things you know really well and things you may not know that well. Everyday while studying or revising, pick one topic from each list. It will keep you motivated.
Set aside about an hour a day to study: Before an exam, it is helpful to revise what you have learnt by going over the studying materials like notes and lessons. Start a couple of weeks earlier and make a timetable so that you cover everything.
Find a great place to study: You know how, when you think of a playground, your brain immediately thinks of playing? In the same way, you can train your brain to think about studying by finding a great study corner. Decorate it with your timetable, motivational learning quotes, etc, so that you have everything you need to study there.
Remember that exams are meant to check how well you know something. Doing well in exams is important, but what is more important is to keep learning and become a lifelong learner! All the best!
