As we deal with the aggressive second wave of the pandemic in India, here is a letter from our Founder and CEO Byju Raveendran to all our employees. In his letter, Mr Raveendran outlines the support of the BYJU’S family along with a message of hope and togetherness during the crisis.
The community of BYJU’S employees, fondly called BYJUites, will receive support for medical expenses from the organisation, as expressed by Mr Raveendran in this letter.
Dear Team,
The second wave of the pandemic is affecting a lot of us close to home. These are tough times, especially for the elderly who are more vulnerable to this cruel virus. The severity of the situation is such that many of us are dealing with family members who have tested positive for COVID-19. If you are going through this too, I urge you, please don’t hesitate to take time off as you care for them. You can speak to your team heads so that they can support you in every way possible.
To help you through this time we are setting up a ₹20 crore CEO’s fund to cover COVID-19 related medical expenses for yourself, your parents, spouse and children. In the unfortunate event that you or your family is hospitalised due to the coronavirus, you can apply for reimbursement from this fund to cover the hospitalisation costs.
The HR team will send you more details on this soon.
I live with my ageing parents too so I understand the worry you must be going through for your family. I want to assure you that you are not in this crisis alone. We will do everything we can to help you get through. Please reach out to HR or directly to me and let us know if you need anything at all. We are in this together, and it is together that we will overcome this adversity too.
Wishing for the health and safety of you and your family.
Warm Regards,
Byju Raveendran
Founder CEO
