NEET is perhaps one of the most competitive exams that tests the mettle of every aspirant. Apart from the exhaustive preparation, the pandemic added to the challenges faced by these students. However, nothing could dampen the grit of those who put their dreams above everything else. Here’s the story of three such Aakash BYJU’S students who aced NEET with remarkable results on the back of perseverance and hard work.
Mrinal Kutteri from Hyderabad has secured All India Rank 1 in NEET 2021 with an astonishing 720 out of 720!
Tanmay Gupta from Delhi, too, has secured 720 out of 720!
Following suit, Karthika G Nair from Mumbai, has also achieved a perfect 720 out of 720!
Everyone has a different way of approaching their preparation. But what do these achievers have in common, other than hard work?
Tanmay maintains that time is the essence of everything. Planning your preparation in advance and creating a solid study plan will help in the longer run. He would study for 14-15 hours a day at the beginning of his preparation. However, a timely piece of advice from his Physics teacher made him realise that output matters more than anything else. So, focussed preparation is the key when it comes to acing NEET, as per this achiever. According to him, the right planning coupled with the right strategy will help every NEET aspirant.
It is not easy to secure a perfect score without making any mistakes. Karthika, who secured full marks in NEET 2021 maintains that it’s okay to make mistakes in your learning journey. While she would get dejected at first, her parents’ faith in her restored her confidence. Biology being her most favourite subject and Physics being the least, Karthika took it upon herself to learn from every mistake she made. ‘Attend all the classes and attempt every test’ – this is Karthika’s advice to NEET aspirants that truly reflects the diligence with which she chased her dream.
Sometimes all you need is a dream and the grit to fuel it for life. This philosophy drove the rigour with which Mrinal chased his dream of becoming a doctor. All set to become the first doctor in his family, he is ready to explore the unknown. Contrary to popular belief, Mrinal didn’t really follow any timetable in his learning journey. He maintains that he cannot study for long hours and can only study for 45 minutes at a stretch. However, he always had day-wise goals that he pursued. Upon being asked what the secret of his success is, he candidly says that one needs to figure out on their own what works for each of them.
Mrinal, Karthika and Tanmay all have one thing in common – the grit and perseverance to pursue their dreams. With Aakash BYJU’S, their hard work and dedication found a guiding light that shaped their learning journey. Here’s to achieving dreams and overcoming every obstacle!
