Mount Everest is the world’s highest mountain. It was and is one of the toughest climbs ever with 70 percent less oxygen, -30/- 40-degree temperature, and steep twists and turns all over. On May 29, 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay from Tibet, climbed this mountain together and made history.

Apart from being the first man to climb Everest, there is so much more to Sir Edmund Hillary. With nothing but sheer determination, Hillary achieved his dream to climb Everest. His story as unique as it is, it’s also extremely relatable to each and every one of us!

Climbing mountains or finishing up the ever-climbing syllabus has some similarities. Both are a challenge that needs motivation and determination. Here’s what we can learn from the man who conquered the tallest challenge in the world!

So let’s celebrate this World Mountain Day by climbing our own mountains and triumphing over them with the words of Sir Edmund Hillary.
