Question 2

Which noble gas shares its name with the home planet of the superhero whose birth name is Kal-El?

Question 3

The man to the left of Albert Einstein in the picture below was a Danish physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922 for his studies on the structure of the atom. The element with atomic number 107 and the symbol ‘Bh’ is named after him. Identify him.

Question 4

Dmitri Mendeleev left a few gaps in his periodic table for elements that were yet to be discovered. One such element he called eka-boron and derived that its atomic mass would be 44. This element was later discovered and isolated in 1879 by Swedish chemist Lars Fredrik Nilson. He was unaware of Mendeleev’s prediction and named the element as a reference to the region in Northern Europe where he discovered it. How do we know the element today?

Question 5

Which is the only letter of the English alphabet that cannot be found in the periodic table?

Take your guesses in the comments section below. Winners of this edition, along with the answers will be revealed next Sunday in the comments section, so keep your eyes peeled!
