Every child, given the power of choice, can do wonders. Girl children, too, despite what plans society has for them. And it is imperative that we ensure that these girls can reach their full potential with the right resources.
To achieve this empowerment, BYJU’S Education for All initiated the LeadHERs campaign, where we asked BYJUites to nominate promising young girl children for free BYJU’S licences. Many of these heroes nominated these girls from minimal backgrounds to help them achieve a brighter future.
Here are some of their stories:
I nominated Nivya* for a free BYJU’S licence; she is a first-generation learner in her family. Her parents have not completed their schooling but want to educate their daughter. However, the support for her education is not much because of her family’s minimal background.
During the pandemic, she had no education support and attended no online classes. But she, as a child, is very keen and interested in studies and wants to get a good education. She aspires to be a doctor one day and serve society.
I have nominated this Yashvi* because she is good at studies and needs help. I want to help her to do her best in her studies and prove herself.
She studies in a government school and is doing really well, so I felt that this licence would give her a platform and would be great for this society.
I knew of a young girl named Bhoomi* who was very talented. Her father passed away about 6 years ago, and she has since been under her mother’s care. She is exceptionally bright and dreams of becoming an IAS officer one day, but her financial situation has never allowed her.
That’s why I nominated her for the free licence and hope it will make a difference in her life.
We hope to uplift more children with the power of education by 2025. Together, with BYJUites and NGO partners, we hope to change the future for children.
BYJU’S Education for All is on a mission to empower 10 million children by 2025 with education. Through the BYJU’S Give programme, you can contribute to this movement and help children with quality digital learning. You can donate an old device, which we will refurbish, and then use the money raised to buy a new device. In case you do not have a device, you can also donate to an NGO partner, who will use the funds to buy devices for children.
In both cases, we will load our BYJU’S Think & Learn premium content onto these devices and distribute them to children in need.

Anju is a peace-lover, a video-game addict, and a childhood doodler who imagined that the scribbles were words. This storyteller enjoys a good read, some doodling, and learning new languages. One day, she hopes to write her own story someday, and hopefully in the French language, too! She never loses hope of making the world a better place to live in.
