Tatanagar, Bengaluru, is a Little Greener, Thanks to BYJUites

With the increasing development worldwide, trees are being felled to make space for growth. With green expanses being cleared, the earth becomes more vulnerable to excessive pollution and climate change. With each passing day, life in every habitat becomes more difficult to sustain on the planet with the gradually dwindling forest populace.

As a ray of sunshine, people across the world have been taking steps towards climate change with their clean initiatives.

BYJUites, too, got together to make Bengaluru a little greener. On October 21, they huddled at the Aadhar Complex in Tatanagar. They planted over 400 saplings to spread the message of protection and conservation as a part of Hands-on CSR’s ‘Lakshavruksha’ initiative.

“I believe planting trees is about growing green and setting a standard for others to follow. It may have only been a few hundred saplings, but I was glad to contribute to the initiative,” says Marudwati J., Operations.

She adds, “Such a cause helps not only the environment but also our children. It sets the right example for others to help them understand the importance of planting trees. It was a small step, but I hope it will make a big difference in making our city brighter. I am glad to have been a part of a great cause!”

“I have always envied people doing such environment-driven activities and was thrilled to have been part of this drive. After planting trees myself, I felt satisfied that I did something purposeful after a long time,” shares Keerthy V, ORM.

“Moreover, the purpose of ‘Lakshavruksha’ was not just about planting these saplings but also caring for them and making sure that the saplings are maintained for three years, which is incredible,” she further adds.
