BYJUites and Their Anecdotes That Left Us #InspirED

Team StoryWeavers|October 21, 2022, 12:20 IST|

A small act of kindness can completely change a person’s life. In fact, both the receiver and the giver are just filled with warm feelings.

We asked BYJUites to share their stories of how they have spread this warmth. Many of them shared their stories which left us truly #InspirED, driving a motivation to do better.

Here are a set of stories that can leave you #InspirED and put a smile on your face.

Gokul V Gopal

Academic Specialist – Tutoring

I was walking through the streets of Karol Bagh, Delhi, one fine evening with a half-empty soft drink bottle. A little boy who lived on one of the streets asked me for the bottle. I didn’t think twice before giving it to him. He smiled and walked away without even taking a sip.

Just as I was about to reach home, I saw him sharing that bottle with his friends. I was amazed. While he could’ve consumed the entire bottle in one go, he chose to share it. Seeing this, I bought them a big juice bottle for these kids. They were all thrilled, and I also became friends with them. From then until I left Delhi, I would take them to eat at restaurants once in a while.

This was a life-changing experience for me. While that young boy must still be living in Delhi, he will always have a place in my heart.

Ankush Chourasia

Center Head – Academics

During the winter of 2019, I remember wearing a very cosy jacket to keep me from the biting cold weather. While returning home from work, I saw a person with a disability who was shivering from the cold.

I stopped my bike and got off to talk to him. I noticed that he was just wearing a very thin T-shirt, barely enough to keep the cold weather away. In fact, the weather was so extreme, and with him being out in it for a long time, he was unable to speak properly. So, I took off my jacket and handed it to him.

I even asked him for his destination and dropped him off. That was indeed an impactful event in my life.

Purna Chandra Kala

Team Lead – Learning & Development DF

I was having a long day at work. Somehow, I completed all my pending work and just wanted to treat myself to something good. So, I went to an ice cream shop with a friend to cool off my hectic day.

While we had ice cream and pastries and were heading out, a group of seven boys, hardly between ages 8-11, entered the shop. Six of them pitched in their money, bought a small pastry and gave it to the seventh boy. In an adorable chorus, they all started singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to their friend. I was surprised that 9-year-olds knew the value of sharing and pouring love on their friend on his special day.

So, inspired by this sweetness and to amp up their small party, I bought ice creams for all seven of them. They were excited and screamed in the streets, “Thank you, Akka!”. Then, they hurried off to their homes.

While BYJUites keep inspiring and making a difference in the lives of others, BYJU’S Education for All, too, is working to make a difference in the lives of children with education. We hope to impact their lives with accessible education and get them closer to their dreams.

BYJU’S Education for All is on a mission to empower 10 million children by 2025 with education. Through the BYJU’S Give programme, you can contribute to this movement and help children with quality digital learning. You can donate an old device, which we will refurbish, and then use the money raised to buy a new device. In case you do not have a device, you can also donate to an NGO partner, who will use the funds to buy devices for children.

In both cases, we will load our BYJU’S Think & Learn premium content onto these devices and distribute them to children in need.
