We invited an author to our Book Club. And, here’s how it went…
At BYJU’S, we learn and grow continuously not only through our work but also through fun initiatives outside work. BYJU’S LitWits – our very own book club – is a great way for BYJUites to get together and share our love for books. The participants get together every month to discuss all things books with fellow bibliophiles at BYJU’S.

The Persuasive Power of Fiction
To inject a little fun into the meeting and mix things up a little bit this month, the Lit Wit members were joined by journalist and author Deepanjana Pal. The hour-long session discussed the persuasive power of fiction, hierarchies within literature, and the idea of genres. Deepanjana further shared insights on how a genre perceived as a ‘guilty pleasure’ can transition to something that’s widely respected. It was interesting to see BYJUites join in the conversation and share their thoughts around the genres they prefer reading.
Talking about their experience at the Book discussion meeting, Sandra Prakash, Content Development Associate, BYJU’S said, “ I love to be a part of the book club and ensure I make time to attend these monthly meetings. It was a pleasant surprise to have an author as a guest this month, and a wonderful opportunity to learn and explore different perspectives.
The book club allows BYJUites to learn something new and fosters an environment of personal and professional development. Do you love reading books too? Would you like to connect with fellow book lovers at BYJU’S? Come along and join BYJU’S Lit Wits Community.
We would love to have you in our next book discussion meeting. All you need to do is drop in a mail to [email protected] from your official email ID and we will share all the details.
